Talent up the wazoo

"Joey De Francesco is a terrific performer on the Hammond B3 organ. On this disc, he also plays the piano and the trumpet (muted) with amazing results. This is one of my all-time favorite jazz recordings. De Francesco swings like a wild man with covers of Thelonious Monk and others, and excels in playing his own compositions. Among these are wistful and ultra-cool numbers, ideal for an intimate martini after five with someone special. This is highly pleasurable stuff. I only wish he had made albums designated "Part I" and "Part II" to accompany this one."
