"This is an excellent CD. I just came back from Paris, and a bit nostalgic. Listening to this CD, brings me back to Paris and its beautifull sights. Joe Dassin is one of the greatest French singers. I heard his tapes as a child (my parents liked him a lot), and still like him very much. He is my favorite. His voice and his songs have an everlasting quality. It is a shame he died so young."

"This CD includes some of Joe Dassin's greatest hits. "A toi", "L'ete indian", "Et si tu n'existe pas", and much more. If you want to have one CD as a sample of this great singer with his deep, soothing voice, this CD is a good start."
Perhaps the best Joe Dassin Album

"This album contains what I consider are Joe Dassin's best songs including my personal favorites "L'été indien" and "Wt si tu n'existais pas". I doscovered this singer many years a go as a child, without ever knowing his name. Many years later, I bought a cheap tape of French songs in Djerba, Tunisia, to listen during my long drive from there to Tripoli in Libya where I was living at the time. I heard "L'été indien" and that beautiful voice, the melody and the lyrics (which I could now understand) rekindled my pleasure and interest in this singer. The name on on the back of the cassette, led me staright to the French emabssy where I asked my friend to lend me any and all Dassin albums. Now back in Canada, I still enjoy Dassin's music, and depsite the many nostalgic memories that are now attached to it, I can still say with all certitude that form a musical standpoint the songs are marvelous. It's ironic that so few know Dassin in North America. He was born in the US!"
Un must !!

Mon disque favori entre tous, ex-aqueo avec "The definitive Simon & Garfunkle colleciton".To all English-speaking people who commented this album, I want to say how heart-warming it is to see how much you love this marvelous singer even though he speaks another language than yours. So many people never develop any interest in what is produced outside of their own country..."
