Product DescriptionJoe Candullo was a regular on network radio, from the late 1920s through the 1930s, and he made more than 100 issued recordings. Candullo started his first band, in 1922 at the age of 21. Four years later, he was leading a popular orchestra at the Everglades, a restaurant on 46th Street and Broadway, in New York City. It was with this band that Candullo made his first recordings, on February 23, 1926. At about the same time, in the spring of 1926, Joe Candullo appeared in Mae West's production of 'Sex'. By April 1927, Joe Candullo and His Everglades Orchestra were making their first radio broadcasts over WMCA, in New York.
