Less is not more when it comes to Jocelyn!

"Jocelyn Brown has one of the most recognizable yet still anonymous voices around. She has made a career of doing session work since the late 60's, backing the likes of Diana Ross and singing the praises of commercial products like Kentucky Fried Chicken. This collection is a great starting point to appreciate her talents--mostly singing lead for other groups. Such classics as 'Always There' (with Incognito) and 'I Am the Black Gold of the Sun' (with Nuyorican Soul) are here, alongside her solo hits like the incomparable 'Somebody Else's Guy'. The bonus remix of 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough' makes this Japanese collection worth the extra couple of bucks vs. the British version. As a fellow North Carolinian who has followed her career for years, I couldn't help but feel disappointed that some of her other collaborations were not included. Where is her work with Inner Life ('I'm Caught Up in a One Night Love Affair') and Change ('A Lover's Holiday')? Where is her fabulous duet with Kym Mazelle, 'Enough is Enough'? This collection is a great sample of the excelllence that is Jocelyn Brown--it just may leave her die-hard fans wanting more!"
