Joana Amendoeira is considered one of the most important singers of the New Generation of fado singers. In her voice, the genre finds a new glow, a new attitude, without straying from the foundations of tradition. In 2010, at only 27 years old, Amendoeira presents her seventh album, an original work that combines traditional fado with arrangements featuring accordion, piano and cello. Sétimo Fado is Amendoeira s first production through Nosso Fado, an organization she founded to preserve traditional Portuguese culture.
