Another one of his cds that is normally enhanced with video (I can't speak for all but all the ones I've seen have been enhanced with video) and great from start to finish. I really can't say enough about Stay Gone - it is a wonderful song.

I really enjoyed this CD. Picked this one due to liking one song and actually wound up enjoying almost every song!

From the heart

"I picked up this CD after seeing Jimmy Wayne live in concert recently, just him and a guitar - it was absolutely breathtaking!! I can tell he poured a lot of his heart into this CD as well, the songs are melancholy and touching, especially "Are You Ever Gonna Love Me", "Stay Gone" and "I Love You This Much", and the moving "Paper Angels" hit me hard. But he also cuts loose and has fun on songs like "After You" and "Trespassin'". The last two songs close the album with a bang - "You're the One I'm Talking To" hints about what a plastic society we've become and "The Rabbit" warns "we'll have to answer for the things we've done." What an awesome debut CD - it should be in everyon's collection"

"Jimmy Wayne not only has a beautiful voice and awesome song-writing ability, his music touches the heart. I suspect this is because he's "been there" and in the process has overcome obstacles that would destroy most humans. This is an absolutely perfect debut album and "Paper Angels" and "I Love You This Much" still reduce me to tears. I think Jimmy is going to be unstoppable and I wish him nothing but the best and all the success he deserves. There's so much new talent coming out of Nashville but Jimmy is quite simply the best because he has it all."
A compelling, powerful album

"I was pursuaded to buy this CD when I heard Jimmy Wayne perform live. I was blown away. This album did much the same--it is full of some powerful material, probably brought about by Wayne's tumultuous life.
The album IS a little ballad-heavy, which makes up-tempo numbers like "After You," "Trespassin," "She Runs," "Paper Angels," and "Blue and Brown" that much more enjoyable. And the topics are pretty serious; only "Trespassin," "You Are," and "Just a Dream" are very happy. Still...Wayne is a credible songwriter and a great singer. His self-titled debut may have its flaws, but it's definitely promising. This guy's gonna go far--and someday, we're gonna look back and say the birth of a legend began here."
Excellent Album!! This is a very classy country singer!!

"Every single track on this debut cd from Jimmy Wayne packs an emotional punch. The emotions expressed range from fun-loving ("Trespassin'), heartbroken ("Are You Ever Gonna Love Me?") to recovering ("Stay Gone"). This is a true country cd in that it is about more than just loving and losing, it's about real life. It's about family, friends, society, AND lovers. These songs express emotions, ideas, and messages in ways that are simple, powerful, and easy to listen to. In addition to all of the great songs, there is an even better singer. Jimmy Wayne has a gorgeous, soulful, and powerful voice. You can tell that he sings from the heart, track after track. Even for people who don't know his background, you can hear that he's singing from real life. In addition to being a great country singer, he is an inspiration and a role model for all that he has overcome. For all of his obsessive fans (and there are many), the cd packaging and extras are all we could dream for. The cd liner and interview is like taking a peek into his personal journal and life."
