"Jimmy Smith has done a wonderful job with this great classical work. An amazing album. A must for any jazz fan."

"This is no tongue in cheek type recording. This is really powerful with Oliver Nelson's big band and Jimmy has plenty of time to show off his stuff. Such a great arrangement, don't delay thinking it might be hokey, it's far from it."
Theme and magic!

"This classic theme based piece has been, amazingly, both retained and "trnasmogrified" by the great Jimmy Smith. It's as though Prokoffief were doing a dance with Jimmy like Wes Montgomery and Kenny Burrel did. I loved the classic and, if you love improv that retains the theme (rather than the indulgence of the performer, as "jazz" artists are sometimes wont to do) then GET this. You'll want to listin to more classical music and more Jimmy Smith to boot!"

"One of my all time favorites by Mr. Smith. My personal favorite here is Elegy For A Duck."
