"Jimmy Luxury and the Tommy Rome Orchestra are one of the most original acts I have ever heard. Tommy Rome was once part The Goats, a wicked hip hop band. He and Jimmy Luxury have created an amazing mix of hip hop and Frank Sinatra style Jazz. "A Night In The Arms Of...." will not be available again as Sony backed out on their deal and refuse to let Jimmy shop the CD around to other companies (in true Sony fashion). The CD is now called "My True Love Is..." and is available on their website... You can also listen to some songs and watch a video on the website and write to them (THEY DO WRITE BACK!!) Try it out...you'll love it."
Swing meets Hip-hop

"One might not expect hip hop to blend well with big band grooves, but Jimmy Luxury has hit the mark. Since August when I received my advance copy I have been playing this CD in the dance clubs in Philly and NYC. Everytime this CD packs the floor. The label for some reason is pushing one of the most lack luster tracks of the CD "Cha Cha Cha". Why, well they have no sense. The real hits are "Kick in the head" which samples Lavay Smith's "Devil & the deep blue sea" for a base line. The other track to mention is "Sweet Apple Pie". All of the songs on this CD are heavy in the hip-hop design and all contain something completely fresh and new while using old swing music for a foundation. Luxury and Rome can be played with success in any club enviroment or while crusing in your car. For hi-hop fans the beat is familair but with new freshnes and great lyrics. For the Swing Kids this CD offers some great alternatives to Lindy to. Everyone that have heard this CD so far love it. Get yours today."
Holy Grail of an album

"Jimmy Luxury's two albums are in my opinion a holy grail in American music, not only because they're so dang cool with their get up and bounce beats and rhythms but also, like the Holy Grail, they're impossible to obtain. Even at the Jimmy Luxury web site if you try to order you normally get an "out of stock" or "back ordered" message. If someone would promote these guys better so that the world could actually know who they are, I believe they could be huge stars. Alas, they are a victim of corporate music hell and we can only hope that someday thay will find their way out so the world can enjoy what they have to offer. In case you've never heard them they are a super high energy mix of hip-hop and big band swing. They have a track on the "go" soundtrack called "cha cha cha" that's as catchy as they come, but good luck finding the rest of their library."

"everyone needs to a copy of this album, if they can get it. It is an awesome mix of quality lyrics over cut-up jazz tunes, which creates one of the best and most unique albums i have heard. there is nothing out there comparable- perhaps Fingathing or Quannum mcs? Enjoy!"
