A Smashing Debut

"This is a terrific debut featuring the local musicians in the Ann Arbor Michigan scene. It has a partly acoustic feel with a lot of fiddle, mandolin and harmony vocals. But don't be fooled; there is plenty of great electric guitar here too and Mr Roll likes his experimentation. "Double Time" features an Optigon Organ and some production that would make George Martin proud. These are not amateur recordings; the songwritting, musicianship and engineering are all first rate.
If you want to support music at the grass roots level and get some terrific albums at the same time check out Jim Roll and his label mates at One Man Clapping."
