CD ReviewsThe 80's never died James E. Grinnell Jr. | MASS. USA | 02/23/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "If you yearn for the great music of the 80's, especially arena pop/rock, this CD is a must own. This is a mostly live CD featuring some of the pop/rock icons of the 80's and early 90's. 10 live tracks -Plus- 5 bonus studio tracks. Jim Peterik(best known as a front man for the band 'Survivor', and a member of the late 60's pop band 'The Ides of March') leads the festivities on this CD, performing with and sharing the lead vocals with 3 lead singers of 80's bands including, KEVIN CRONIN(REO SPEEDWAGON), DON BARNES(38 SPECIAL), AND KELLY KEAGY(NIGHT RANGER). Sister Christian is a standout, and Peterik's take on "Vehicle"(Ides of March), is amazing. Peterik also sings lead on "Eye of the Tiger", and allows Kevin Chalfant(The Storm) to lead vocalise on another "Survivor' classic "I Can't Hold Back". The 5 bonus studio tracks are catchy pop/rock. and the track 'The Day America Died' from Johnny Van Zant(lynyrd Skynyrd)should be a staple on all FM radio stations as a true tribute to 9/11."
