Jim Hunter's lyrics speak to me!

"Jim Hunter's powerful lyrics are of love lost and love found; growing up and growing old; and everything in between. My favorite, "The Hungry I", (mis-labeled on the CD as "Words I Might Have Said") is somewhat reminiscent of Harry Chapin, but still uniquely and powerfully Jim Hunter. On his other CD, "Uphill Slide" in the song "Waste the Paint", he says it best, ". . . waste the paint, you can't go wrong in the stroke of the brush, it's in the line of the song, good words come easy when they come from the soul, she paints the pictures no frame could ever hold." Buy both CDs, close your eyes and let Jim Hunter paint pictures for you."

"Really have no idea how to rate this album with one star. Someone who like to prefer the "music" of - for example - Britney Spears should better not review an album like this. "When the geese fly over" is a milestone in folk music and the album ist outstanding."
