""You Don't Mess Around With Jim",Croce's 1972 debut, could easily pass for a greatest hits album from the late, great Jim Croce, climbing to no#1 on the charts - this album is simply almost perfect, featuring the classic songs,"Tommorrow's Gonna Be A Brighter day","Photographs And Memories","Walkin' Back To Georgia","New York's Not My Home","Operator(that's not the way it feels)",and the timeless "Time In A Bottle", plus countless others on here that reveal the great singer-songwriter as Jim Croce really was,a true-blue musician who enjoyed what he was doing. This expanded edition includes the original album and never before released tracks on the first side, along with a second disc featuring more classic Croce, including wife Ingrid on half of the songs. "You Don't Mess Around With Jim" is worth the price of admission alone on this import with excellent remastered sound. (keep in mind that only this Castle import from England includes two disc with extra tracks.)"
Damon Medic review of Jim Croce's "You Don't Mess Around Wit

"Jim Croce was a master at crafting a song. The prosity between music and lyric is uncanny. The Lyrics to songs like "Box #10", "New York's Not My Home" or "Time in a Bottle" are both sophisticated and eloquent. I cannot imagine where Croce would stand in our musical society if he had not been untimely killed in a plane crash. If you do not own this album, get it quick. You have a "heart-back guarantee", and believe me, you won't need it. You will become a Croce disciple!
