"This Lullaby album is superb. Jewel has a unique way of singing her songs and reaching her listeners. Her sound is readily reconizable. Every song in this album is sung to perfection. What a talent. Jewel is very genuine. This comes across in all her music. I love this album. So will you."

"Jewel returns back to where her strengh lies, reminiscent of her first album "Pieces of You", where she is accompanied by very minimal music and her soothing voice really shines.
I truly enjoy this cd and it is simply, one of the best albums of the first half of 2009. Buy this!!!(you won't regret it).

"Jewel sings and writes songs rather well to say the least; and on this album she performs some of the best "mood songs" and lullabies I've ever heard. This is perfect for children; and of course we adults will enjoy these sweet songs, too! Jewel truly delves deep into each ballad she sings; when she puts so much of herself into every number it shines brighter than silver and gold combined! These songs are lovingly crafted with great attention to detail; and that's grand. We get songs that are primarily solo acoustic originals with a few covers by Jewel. Jewel sounds just great on this album; and I like that artwork, too.
The album starts off with Jewel singing a song called "Raven." The guitar works well for this ballad and Jewel sings this with all her heart and soul--I love it! Her excellent diction bolsters her performance as well. "All The Animals" is also quite well done; Jewel delivers this without letting go of a superfluous note! Again, the guitar complements Jewel's vocals to perfection.
"Sweet Dreams For You" impresses me; Jewel delivers this faultlessly and the music couldn't be better. Of course, "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" is a traditional lullaby but when Jewel does this she sure makes it sound new and fresh! Jewel passionately sings the lyrics to this lullaby and I enjoy hearing that.
"The Cowboy's Lament" is very easy on the ear even though some of the lyrics aren't all that happy; this countrified ballad features Jewel squarely in the spotlight--right where she belongs! In addition, there's yet another gem in what has sometimes been referred to as "The Swedish Song" in Jewel's past concerts, "Sov Gott (Sleep Well)." Jewel sings this with panache and I think you'll like this very much. It's very pretty, too.
"Dreamer" shines bright with its sweet and gentle melody; this is a charming song. "Forever And A Day (Always)" is also rather pretty; Jewel sings "Forever And A Day (Always)" with so much genuine feeling that it moves me very much. "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" has Jewel singing some rarely heard lyrics in addition to the main portion of the song that many of us know so well; I think Judy Garland would be proud!
"Angel Standing By" is a superb lullaby--this is all THAT good. "Angel Standing By" is a masterpiece from Jewel; and listen for ""Simple Gifts" which also has a very pleasant melody. Jewel ends the album with what is perhaps the quintessential lullaby, "Brahms Lullaby." "Brahms Lullaby" rounds out the album nicely and it leaves me wanting more.
Jewel scores a big goal in my book with this album. She sounds great; and in some ways it could be said that she never sounded better. Your children are bound to enjoy this CD countless times over; and don't be surprised if you find yourself listening to it from time to time, too! It's great music for when you want to relax."
