Almost better than Get Born

"This is really a great album, I suppose the reason not many people know about it is because they considered it some kind of could-only-be-ordered-five-track-deal that wasn't worth it. Actually, I found this album at Best Buy for $15 only it didn't have the Japanese writing on the side. Anyway, this album is eight tracks and three music videos of pure Jet punk rock. The live versions of "Are You Going to be My Girl" and "Cold Hard B****" are almost better than the originals and "Sgt. Major" is one of the best songs Jet ever wrote and one of my favorite songs of all time. The other tracks like "You Don't Look the Same" and "Bruises" are a bit slower but still classics, none the less. Jet's version of "Back Door Santa" is also "da bomb." Their three music videos just add to the excellence of the disc. I'm not sure if this album can still be found at Best Buy, but if you really like Jet, then you would probably like this album."
Great segue between GET BORN and SHINE ON

"I originally thought this was released before GET BORN, but it was released shortly afterwards. The tunes on this CD are a fabulous segue between the freshman and sophomore releases from JET. If you can't get enough of JET, you will love this.
You can still hear the quasi-60's Beatles feel and rhythm influences in most of the studio cuts. The live versions of the always fabulous "Are you Gonna Be My Girl" and "Cold Hard Bitch" are absolutely AMAZING ... and fantastic. Simply put, two great reasons to add this CD to your collection. I'm going to see JET next weekend in Portland Oregon, and I hope they sound as great Live as they do on this CD.
I'd never heard "Sgt Major" before but now I know why die hard JET fans on the discussion boards beg for this to be released commercially.
You can also hear the guitar riff on "You Were Right" that ended up being recycled for Shine On's "All You Have To Do" and L'Esprit D'Escalier" as a demo here, and it makes you almost want to sing those in parallel when you hear it.
Elvis would have been pleased to hear "That's Alright Mama' done here.
Jet's version of "Back Door Santa" is now my favorite holiday song .. LOL
So naughty ..."
