"If you're crazy about Jerry Lee Lewis, this is absolutely a must-have. Huge collection of his Sun songs. Rock'n'roll, rockin' country, blues, every style he did-all in the Jerry Lee way. For purists especially, this is something I truly recommend. Charly has been a great reissue label for years! Like I say, a wonderful 4-CD set."
All Killer; No Filler

"This is prime Jerry Lee and lots of it. Yes, a lot of the tracks are very similar but then peanuts are all the same but you can't stop at eating just one!! This album is an absolute gem. It has lots of incendiary performances from the Killer with excellent sound and a great booklet. For the price; it's priceless!!
If you want to find out why so many people consider Jerry Lee better than Elvis, Richard, Chuck or Johnny, this is the place to start."
Charly does it again

"Being a lifelong Jerry Lee Lewis fan, I've prided myself on having everything I can get my hands on to complete my collection of his recordings. I had all the Sun releases with the exception of the $200+ box-set that had all his out takes, experiments, and studio talk, which was too expensive for me to afford. But this release by Charly has dug into that box, and released a lot of those out takes, and songs that never made the cut for one reason or the other. The ones I enjoyed the most were when Jerry Lee was alone at the piano, and playing with as much confidence and swagger as if he were backed up by a nine piece band. He does his best work when he's like this, and it's easy to see when you hear these cuts, just why he is such a long-lasting, and revered performer.
The price I paid on this obviously high quality set was impressively low for what I was getting, with a booklet included that is the most comprehensive yet at 35 pages, (not including the front and back covers!) that's ever been done on Jerry Lee, and well over-due I might add. Attention to detail rules on everything here - out takes, lots of songs I never knew existed, high quality packaging suitable for a King of Rock, and a really nicely made booklet with tons of history of the songs, and details on the recordings - it's all here. Jerry Lee can be proud that someone finally got the most important chapter of his career right."

"When Jerry Lee Lewis was recording for Sun records it was his most prolific period in my opinion and this great box set containing 128 of his best recordings is simply stunning. One of the best box sets out there. Each of the four discs contains plenty of vintage rock 'n' roll as well as a few country songs, an even some gospel and rhythm & blues ditties thrown in for good measure. Of course, all of the big hits are included, as well as some rare gems that will have you coming back for more. Also remarkable is the attention to detail in the beautiful booklet, which includes several terrific photos and a very informative biography. Also there's a very insightful commentary, complete with recording dates of every song in the collection. If you love Jerry Lee Lewis...buy this now."
