Amazing player and composer

"If you have not had an opportunity to hear Jeremy Pelt - now is the time. His latest album "Insight" is a prime example of the fantastic playing and writing of this young (26) rising star in jazz. The music has the flavor of the 60s Miles Davis quintet but he is taking it into new directions. His composing skills shine on cuts like "In My Grandfather's Words", "Sisyphus" and the Thelonious Monk drenched "Spherical Inclination". To show that he is man who has his roots grounded in tradition - check out his rendition of the standard "I Wish You Love". Along for the ride are Jimmy Greene on tenor, Myron Walden on alto, Rick Germanson on piano & wurlitzer, Vincente Archer on bass and the thunderous Ralph Peterson on drums."
