That's really all you need to know. Oh, and the point that this is an artist to keep your eye (and ear) on.
If the abridged version of this review doesn't quite cut it for you, then by all means, keep reading.
I'm rethinking my initial comparison to Paul Simon, Ben Kweller, Bob, and Ben (but too lazy to change the title). It doesn't quite cut it. Fisher's musical style, while distinct in its own right, was definitely influenced by early folk and blues, and there's a spark of what I can only describe as a distinctly Guthrie vibe (I wonder if that makes sense to the rest of the world?). There's also a kind of indie pop feel (thus the comparison to the two Bens). On top of all that, Fisher's own unique personality really shines through in his music. His style, while fun, is well-rounded; several of his songs are politically driven (but not overbearingly so), and he also manages to convey a fair range of emotions. In sum, Jeremy Fisher shows a great deal of promise here, and I absolutely recommend "Goodbye Blue Monday.""
