"Jennifer, Lisa, and Teresa McCarter are three sisters from Sevierville, Tennessee, and this CD is a must for any lover of traditional country music. Produced by well-known Nashville musicmen, Paul Worley and Ed Seay, Better Be Home Soon was the second of two albums released on the Warner Brothers label (1990) by the girls. Several songs, including Up And Gone, Mountain Memories, and Betcha Gonna Love Me will have you tapping your feet and wanting to get up on the dance floor. Two lovely waltzes are also found here, I Haven't Got A Prayer, and the Mary-Chapin Carpenter tune, Slow Country Dance and the sisters' sweet harmonies are used to maximum effect. Among the other songs are Papa Sita, with a Spanish cha cha rhythm, Shot Full Of Love which was also a hit for Juice Newton, Quit While I'm Behind, Better Be Home Soon, and I Don't Want To Cry Anymore. There is no filler in this album and it's a shame that the girls were dropped by Warner Brothers after this recording. The music found here is bathed in steel guitar, fiddle, mandolin, dobro and guitar, and is created by some of Nashville's finest session musicians, including Mark O'Connor and Paul Franklin. Pick this CD up while it's still available, you won't regret it."
