CD Reviews

Jelly-heads will LOVE it!

"while the uninitiated may wish to stick to Bellybutton and Spilt Milk for now, this disc is a real treat for the collector & Jellyfish enthusiast. The differences between demo versions (offered only here) and album versions are sometimes hard to spot, but close listening pays off. The remake of Beatnik Beatch's song "Watching the Rain" goes the old band one better, but one can see why it didn't make it to either of the albums. Similarly, "Family Tree," charming as it is, will not be a great entry point for the new fan. All you jelly-heads out there, if you are at all like me, will LOVE having access to these excellent demo songs & rejects. Don't wait thirty years for "Jellyfish: Anthology 1, 2, & 3." !"

"Heh I especially enjoyed the song "Ignorance Is Bliss" from the White Knuckle Scorin' Soundtrack. That was really cool. All the demo versions are different than the normal versions if you listen in. However if you aren't a Jellyfish freak you might want to buy one of their less expensive non-import albums first."
An amazing album from one of the most talented bands around!

""New Mistake ep" is an excellent album which includes such demos as "Russian Hill"and "Bedspring Kiss" also including such unreleased tracks as "Family Tree" and "Watchin the Rain" is a must-have for your Jellyfish collection."
