Rockin' KC blues

"From the late 80's to the late 90's, Jimmy & Jennie Cheatham released a series of wonderful kansas city blues albums on the Concord label. Jeanie rocks the piano and Jimmy's trombone and horn arrangments gave the recordings the feel of a Big Joe Turner session from the 50's. great stuff. Jeanies' vocals are smooth and sassy and some of their original songs are very humorous in a ribald way! Any of the records are worth getting if you enjoy good jazz and blues delivered with enthusiasm and skill. Great stuff!!"
