"This album has brought me more joy than any CD purchase in recent years. Jeanette Williams has a very talented mature voice, the musicians are some of the finest in bluegrass, and the album is not over-produced. It is pure, rich, balanced music. The songs are mostly new and refreshing with a few of the best classics done with a distinctive soulful emphathy. Every song on the album is a masterpiece - not a loser in the bunch! Listen to this album once and you will be addicted. It has been in my CD player for three weeks and I'm not tired of it yet! I have no connection whatsoever with this album. I am just a new fan."
Top-flight bluegrass... one of the best!

"Jeanette Williams is one of the best truegrass players out there today...This is a very lovely album, with some of the sweetest, most upbeat melodies bluegrass has to offer. Dan Tyminski co-produced this album, which includes contributions by many of the late '90s "usual suspects" (such as Tyminski, Rob Ickes, Ben Isaacs, Aubrie Haynie). On a few numbers this bluegrass Wrecking Crew begins, not too surprisingly, to drift into sugary Alison Krauss-ish territory, but Williams seems to have a pretty clear sense of how she wants her music to sound, and the bouncy melodic drive is seldom lost for long. Really nice record... highly recommended!"

"Great record! Jeanette has a voice like a clear mountain stream, the musicians are great and the harmony vocals simply beautiful. It is also very nice to hear new song material and songs that have not been recorded to death by other artists. This one's a winner!!!"
Bluegrass lady with energy

"According to the record company's website, Jeanette is well known within the bluegrass community. That may be so, but she deserves to be much better known. I haven't heard any of the songs before, although I see that an earlier reviewer seems to think they are not all original.Jeanette has a lovely soprano voice, and puts plenty of energy into her music - most of the songs are bright and breezy, although she is more than capable of singing the ballads too. The music is of a high quality.Apparently, this is by no means Jeanette's first album, but it's the most recent one as far as I know. It's three years since this album was originally released, although I only discovered it recently, after buying an album by Bo Jamison's current band, Heartstrings (not listed by Amazon at the time of this review). Bo wrote the title song of this album. There are more bluegrass ladies than there used to be, but still not enough. If you are a fan of such music, you should give Jeanette a try. And if Amazon decide to stock the music of Heartstrings, buy that too."
