CD ReviewsEngaging & Smooth Polished Aural Experiences ... Jeff | Brisbane, Australia | 12/23/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "Now i must confess i bought this cd in at a place where they sell 2nd hand CD's without listening to it. I did this cause i read the liners and besides the cover looked good. But the beauty of these 2nd Hand cd stores is that i can purchase a whole heap of music & occassionally i will stumble over a band a musicisian whom i had never heard of before & think what a "Sensational Find". Such was the case with this CD - This group - Jazzamor.
The wondrous sultry seductive sounds of Bettina Mischke married with the musical mastery of Roland Grosch & you have final musical production that is very modern. Lounge Music is perhaps the best description. The type of music you would expect to be playing if you walked into a swanky fashion house or an upmarket New York dinner party. Stylish comes to mind. It is a superb cohesive mix of electronica with classical sounds. In alot of the songs there is a sound that sounds like a violin but it could all be electronically produced. I also love the sounds of the piano accordion in some of the mixes. Music sells itself but one needs to be exposed to purchase it. This is the CD you could listen to on your own or have it playing in the background which everyone will want to know who it is & then go out & purchase it themselves. But for the record my favourite tracks are the simplistic ones; #6 - Travel in Order Not to Arrive #8 - Icy #11 - Caught in the Middle (piano, guitar then sparse seductive vocals fused with some electronica) #12 - Nothing Lasts for Long Life is too short listening to crap music. So get this CD - you will not be disappointed if this is your style. " |
