Jason Shannon is a Minneapolis-based singersongwriter/bandleader/arranger/producer steeped in American songform. He leads a high-energy, five-piece band. Hes coming to a town near you opening on the road for Bob Schneider. In late January 2008, after three years of quietly writing and recording on his own, Shannon entered Wild Sound Studio in Minneapolis to record his eponymous debut. The album was tracked and mixed over a stretch of six months by Shannon and studio owner Matthew Zimmerman. The selected single, Sons & Daughters, is a brooding, heartfelt prayer for peace and unity.
