"Janie Grey have been touring the southeast and beyond for ten plus years now. This is thier second studio release and in many ways it surpasses thier first offering. The Most impressive thing about the band is thier live shows, and the musical acrobatics which they perform on stage has to be witnessed to be believed. It is with that same spirit that "Maybe Tomorrow" was written and recorded. From the explosive First track "Turnstiles" you can tell that the boys mean business. The song's layered harmonies are driven by a flowing bassline . "Turnstiles" culminates in a SMOKING guitar solo. "Remember How You Were" is a masterfully written anthem that conjures images of "Sgt. Peppers".The slide guitar work is haunting while the subtle, yet powerful, lyrics are structured beautifully. "Heart Shaped Land" is a journey into ambiance.Fans of J.G.will no doubt appreciate this driving yet soft spoken tale of heartache and redemption. This is a newer area for these guys, and is testament to thier ever growing and experimental songwriting. "Pleases Me To Know" WOW,what a tight moving groove. The hook is stong and stays with you. I love this song and find myself singing it over and over. "Judges" is an epic that floats on the air. This song is a reminder of their first album. It is the longest track on the record and tells a story that you can listen to over and over again. This acoustic song is an instant classic. "Long Summer Days" is an old classic from J.G.'s early days.It is a bonafide house rocker and the band truly caught the feel of a Janie Grey show in this track. It burns with electricity and intensity. These are just some of the highponts of an exceptionaly great record. The blending of American music genres is a cornerstone wth Janie Grey.If you like good music, well crafted songs, and dynamic playing you will love J.G."
