"This excellent low-priced double CD covers 3 LP's worth of Jan & Dean's Greatest Hits (complete with reproductions of the liner notes to all three of the original albums). Disc One is somewhat slow-starting, as I think the original Vol. 1 of hits was released before J & D really HAD any hits, other than 'Jenny Lee' their early material is rather weak IMHO. However, by the end of Disc 1 (and continuing into Disc 2) you get into the really meaty material, and there is anything the J & D fan could want, from the infamous 'Dead Man's Curve' and 'Sidewalk Surfin', to little-heard marvels such as '1-2-3' and 'Batman' (NOT the TV theme song; it's a wacky original!). My only complaint is that in sticking so rigidly to the format of the three original LP's, some classic cuts (such as 'Bucket T') aren't included here. However, that's a minor quibble. All of their major hits are represented, and the sound quality is excellent. You really can't beat it for the price. Ride The Wild Surf!"

Jan Berry Second Wave The Only CD that has tracks clearly missing from this is Teen Suite 1958-1962 Jan And Dean which covers all Early JD and Jan And Arnie material all in all this CD is a must for and JD fan and is a great start off point for peoplr just getting into Jan And DeanDedicated To Jan Berry April 3 1941-March 26 2004:Thanks Jan for all the great tunes you will be trully missed by me and anybody who loves great musicWe Miss You Allready"
