"Jamiroquai/JK are very talented. Now knowing that "Runaway" was written as a goodbye song to their then record label SONY-it has inspired me to runaway. One should check out Jamiroquais many timeless titles such as "Virtual Insantity" and many others. This purchase is a cornerstone to my Jamiroquai collection."

"This single was definitely more of a throwback to the old, funky Jamiro-style we know and love that is lacking in much of their newer music. Given their recent, and current, situations, this song definitely can be appreciated on many different levels. It has the kind of depth that makes a good song great, and could maybe offer some insight into JK's mind at the time. Some may pass it off as having meaningless lyrics, though I believe it to be a cry for freedom; a joyous outburst of longing for something that my never be. Sure, the simple title may imply such a program, but on how many levels, or in how many dimensions, can it be successfully interpreted? Any fan will like it instantly for it's funkelicious groove, but once you scratch the surface you may just get sucked in, sinking deeper and deeper through the music searching for the bottom, for the source, for the freedom, of a vast musical abyss."
