"I guess a lot of people out there do not understand the concept of this album. This is not an album produced or arranged by Jamiroquai. No Jay Kay vocals - nothing like that. No, this album merely REFLECTS the ROOTS of the Jamiroquai sound. Listen to it in that mindset and you won't be disappointed. Take for instance the cut by Ramsey Lewis, "Whisper Zone". You can't tell me you don't hear elements of this song in Jamiroquai's music. I would have given this album a full 5 stars, but one of my favorite tracks on the album was not converted over in the best possible quality. That track is "Girl, I Think the World About You" by The Commodores. You can hear this song's influence on many of Jamiroquai's cuts. Unfortunately, it's pretty fuzzy on this album. Other than that, I have no issues with it. It's cool to be able to explore the roots of someone's sound. If you are a true Jamiroquai fan or a fan of acid jazz in general I think you'll find it quite funky!"
Just a general comment

"I haven't heard this CD but of the samples I listened to it seemed like it does it's job. This is for any of the reviewers who may return here. Now when I saw the cover, instantly I knew it wasn't an album of jamiroquai songs. I thought it was an interview CD or something like that. Does it look like a Jamiroquai cover? NO! come on people! You can't call yourself a jamiroquai fan (or smart for that matter) if you thought this was a Jamiroquai album. Haven't you noticed the similiarity between the past covers? Get a clue."
A great compilation!

"I can't understand those reviewers who purchased this album thinking that this was a Jamiroquai CD. Come on folks! Did you read the track listing on the back? Not only does it list the tracks, it lists the original artists as well.
Upon listening to the album, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that these artists clearly influenced Jamiroquai's sound. Songs like "Once You Get Started" by Rufus and "Happiness" by The Pointer Sisters will resonate with all of Jamiroquai's fans. I also love "Here's To You" by Skyy, "Tonight's The Night" by Kleer and "Pretty Baby" by Sister Sledge. This compilation will get you off the couch and have you dancing in no time. If it doesn't, then nothing will!"
