"Buy this CD. I saw him open for Maria McKee several years ago in Dallas, (Maria is the sexiest siren ever...and was stunning that evening)...and all I could think during Hall's performance was "...this is the incredible energy of the legendary early Replacements live shows reawakened."The CD is an absolute freight train, and it's still not quite the event that happened on the stage. These songs are so thick with sound and the lyrics so intrically woven, it'll take you several spins just to catch up with his emotional momentum.I wish he'd given succesive offerings for our enjoyment. I'm concerned I'm going to wear out this CD long before I get tired of listening to it."
NOT IF YOU LIKE BREATHING!!!

"THIS BAND FLAT ROCKS! Ive had the pleasure of seeing James Hall three times in Phoenix and on several occations have found myself not breathing while watching him. He is a fierce performer who commands attention. Ive seen people at his shows who had never heard of James Hall floored by him and his band. The music on both this cd and his first one is amazing!. If you get the chance, see him live, youll be hooked!. ROCK OVER LONDON! ROCK OVER CHICAGO! WHEATIES, BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS!."
Perhaps one of THE seminal recordings of the 1990s...

"I have had this CD in my collection for years and haven't listened to it in a long time. Easy to do when you have nearly 1,200 CD's, but a mistake none the less. I pulled it out the other day as I was making MP3's out of my CD's and I was once again blown away.
There is not one bad song on this disc. It simply rocks!! With powerful guitars and wonderful lyrics for Hall to wrap his great voice around. There is NO reason James Hall should not be a much bigger star, except that most Americans need their music (like everything else) spoonfed to them by the coporate world and HOMOGENIZED so that they don't hurt themselves by THINKING.
If you are reading this you probably aren't in that group and will enjoy this album more than I can express in word. Hall's voice is perfect in every song whether he is singing with force or achingly. Do yourself a favor and BUY IT. You can get a cheap used copy and won't regret it."
