"Get yours now! 5,000 pressed! With original mixes, alternate mixes, previously unreleased on CD sides, and more importantly, some of the greatest singles ever conceived!
The collector/fan can look over the songlist and see the value for bux. And also some tracks like the "sing along" (aka "instrumental") flip of "Hey America", which to me is a lost Top 20 song - it appears that JB's vocal was an add-on and a generation of sound was lost - the music is surely comparable to things like "The Horse", or any hit instrumental you can name. A late '71 entry led by Lynn Collins is (yet another) remake of "Just Won't Do Right" (aka "I Stay In The Chapel Every Night" by JB); a very melodious duet: JB is more "controlled", shall we say, and the result is outstanding. (Lynn should have gotten Top 20 attention with said song and the B-side, the Grammy-worthy "Wheels Of Life").
As usual, the packaging, notes, overall production is magnificent. Weinger and Leeds have once again given us something for the Soul Pantheon.
["1970 to 1972" indicates the complete 1970 and 1971 JB singles]."
