Two CD set that celebrates the Godfather Of Soul's life with classic live versions of his biggest hits including 'Sex Machine', 'Funky Good Time', 'Please, Please, Please' and 'Papa's Got A Brand New Bag' amongst others. .Disc One was recorded at New York's Studio 54, the legendary home of '70s Disco excess, in 1980. Stripped of the usual massive horn section that accompanied Brown on tour throughout the decade, this performance is more stripped back and intimate than most, and really underlines the skill and dexterity of the JB back row. Disc Two features a gig recorded at Chastain Park, Atlanta Georgia in 1984 and finds the man still at the top of his game, blasting through hit and funky favorites. Snapper.
