Just Beautiful

"To be really honest with you, the past year really hasn't brought out much in the way of great music, which definitely was unfortunate. Yet, what I was surprised about recently was a newcomer from Britain named James Blunt. While he may not ats like performers like Britney Spears, he has a very unique voice that really stands out well. His debut single, You're Beautiful, is a simple kind of pop song that really carries out well. Although I've heard the track a couple of times, it is just a simple pop song. Yet, James' voice has a distinction of being a very young Rod Stewart, with a great feeling of pop music. All that I can hope for from James Blunt is that he keeps up the feeling of his voice, and hopefully continues to make some more great pop sounds like these.

I love the story behind the song, "Your Beautiful".

"James Blunt was just on Oprah a few weeks ago singing this song, and telling Oprah the story behind the song, "Your Beautiful". It's about his ex-girlfriend that he saw on a train with her new guy. They shared a moment, and he never saw her, again. Can you imagine?!! This song that he wrote about his ex-girlfriend is a big hit!!! That's the best revenge when you get dumped, you become rich and famous. Wonder what she's thinking now?"
Lost For Words

"It's really amazing what a change of profession could do. James Blunt was an obscure army personel and now he's a pop star famous all over the world! "You Are Beautiful" is a great track and the mesmerising voice of the British artist is an added charm to the song. The song is a perfect example of a smooth and genial flow of rhythm and seems to get more and more ethereal everytime you listen to it. I've listened to all the tracks of the album "Back To Bedlam" and this is undisputably the best of the lot. Not an iota of a doubt why this track was the third best-selling one in the UK last year and still is being played all over the world. The other songs in James Bluntg's maiden collection somehow fall short in one dimension or the other but "You Are Beautiful" is a masterpiece. In this song, his voice possesses a certain depth of intent and he sings with conviction broadly underlined by pathos. James Blunt has become a real idol in the world of pop music and I guess in subsequent years he could find the road a bit too tough as people would be looking at him and asking him to repeat his unconventional sucess with "You Are Beautiful"."

"Pretty romantic. I have to admit though, I didn't really like the accoustic track. The F-word really seamed to change the story of the song. Now I wonder if he was singing about being stoned when he saw his dream-girl?"

"I thought this was the whole CD but it was just the single...my mistake. A real nice little CD though."
