Jackie Wilson as a Soul Man

(5 out of 5 stars)
"If you're a fan of soul music, than this is the Jackie Wilson CD for your collection. Here Jackie makes a great comeback with Carl Davis as producer and the Motown Funk Brothers as the backing band! Not only do you get the hits "Higher and Higher" and "Whispers", you also get Jackie's heartfelt singing on "Just Be Sincere". My personal favorite of the collection is the proto-Motown cut "I've Lost You" where Jackie convinces everyone that he's faced the greatest trajedy in the world because his girl doesn't love him anymore. Powerful Stuff."
