Seven great tracks!

""Ah, but there are nine tracks on the album" you think! Correct, but two of these are really quite at odds with the excellence of the rest of the album.Firstly, on "Saturday Night Fish Fry" Brother Jack gets to croak - you can't call it singing. Secondly "The age of Aquarius" isn't suited to what is in effect McDuff's road band -alto player Andrew Beals wrote the chart - his first in eleven years, and it's not very good at all.Apart from that the album is as good as any of the other Concord releases, with the title track and an absolutely belting "Blooze in G" the pick of the tracks. Even "Theme from Mission Impossible" is given a makeover to transform it into something different. The sound of the brass section is different to other albums - less of them, but this gives John Hart on guitar a real chance to stretch out, which he does with aplomb."
