"One word can sum up this recording...."WOW". Great writing, great vocals, just flat out great music from Jack and the Beat Up Ford Band. I bought this disc a little over a year ago, and I have YET to conjure up the gall to take it out of the changer. I can truly think of nothing short of a legend that could replace Mr. Ingram's spot in there. Richard Bennett was able to capture the beauty of Jack's writing and the energy and intensity of a BeatUpFord live show (which, by the way, if these guys come to your town, GO!). This disc is a MUST for any lover of what country music should be..."

"This is what Texas music is all about,Jack does a great job of balancing real country with an upbeat sound. Not exactly what were used to hearing out of Nashville."

"Okay so I watched this guy's video for the chick. But don't that song rock? I bought this cd and liked it better than the new one by Jay Farrar. I hate new country/alt country...all that's just talk. This is a collection of gritty prosaic songs. You can hear a little Steve Earle here and a touch of Tom Petty as well. Hank would be proud, but so would Van Zandt. These are songs you can feel, and sing along even if you haven't heard them before!"

"Why is it that every Jack Ingram album is my favorite Jack Album? Ingram continually puts out great music and thusly, great albums. Whether you are rocking out with "Barbie Doll" or "Mustang Burn" or daydreaming to "Biloxi" this album has something for everyone. Get it and you will NOT be dissappointed."
