"Jack Hylton led a series of orchestras that dominated the British music scene for close to forty years. He developed his style by studying Paul Whiteman's recordings. The result was that Hylton's music ended up being superior to Whiteman's - he mastered the twenties and thirties feel of music perfectly with great arrangements, wonderful singers (especially Sam Browne and Pat O'Malley), and talented musicians. Anyone who loves twenties music will love this great orchestra leader."
