Synopsis

Album Description
The idea of using music as a healing medium has been around for ages. On Music In The Key of Om, the concept is explored by one of the great minds of modern music, Jack DeJohnette, with stunning results! Music In The Key of Om is an uplifting hour-long piece that provides a perfect backdrop for meditation, message, yoga, healing sessions, or simple relaxation. The music echoes with ancient sounds, created using by special Resonating Bells (which Jack helped to create). "Their sound is very natural and organic," explains DeJohnette, "like something one might hear in the mountains of Nepal."

"Music in the Key of OM is one of the most soothing tracks that I have in my collection. I am not sure what happens in the brain while listening, but I enter a differet state of mind while I play it repeatedly as background. I have been lulled to sleep with it on my iPod. This recording fits in very well with my four-disk collection of "Healing.""
