Outstanding harpsichord playing, cheaper than food

"The late Christiane Jaccottet left a remarkable set of solo Bach recordings: at least thirteen full-length issues that keep appearing on different labels. Her style featured a natural plasticity of phrasing, a beautiful legato, subtle arpeggiation, well-judged tempos, graceful ornamentation, and an unproblematic approach to the music. She "simply" played the music with directness and understanding. In her performances we hear Bach allowed to make his own effects, and this works wonderfully. Straight to the heart and the mind.Don't let the low price make you dubious. Performances of this caliber would be worth buying at seven times the asking price. What are you waiting for?"
