Pretty good

"This CD is actually of fairly good quality, considering the price. "Toccata and Fugue in D minor" is performed interestingly, but the icing on the cake is "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring." I can't tell to what key this piece has been changed, but it sounds magnificent. It has inspired me to attempt to get together a brass quintet (this is performed by the St. Louis Brass Quintet), but not knowing how to arrange this work has prevented me from doing this so far.
As for the rest of the tracks? Well, it's hit or miss at this point. The "Flute Sonata" sounds like it was recorded in a basement (albeit a greatly soundproofed basement) and I wasn't impressed with "Arioso in F," but the Brandenburg Concertos are good, so that's a plus.
I would recommend this disc for "Jesu" alone, but if you are looking for adequate Bach with a budget pricetag, then this is the disc to get."
