J. Reuben Silverbird is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and an important musical spokesman for the Nehdni Apache, Navajo and Cherokee tribes. His earlier musical works such as The World in Our Eyes: A Native American Vision of Creation (1992), combined narration with environmental sounds and synthesized soundscapes as well as traditional Native American melodies. After having served on the board of directors of the American Indian College Fund, the American Indian Museum in New York and as President of the American Indians Nations Powwow, Silverbird now travels extensively as a UN Ambassador for Peace (NG) sharing his message of Love for Peace Amongst all People. His latest release, Shaman Spirit (2008) is a captivating collection of meditational and reflective themes led by Silverbird's native american flute. Published by Noble Records.
