Not a Live Recording

"The product description of this CD, along with its title, wrongly suggest it is a collection drawn from live recordings made in Germany. Instead, this is merely a greatest hits collection, and other, more exhaustive collections of Cale's music are readily available at a lower price right here at Amazon or even in most brick and mortar shops. "Star Club" apparently was/is the name of a famous German music venue, but here, it is merely a cynical ploy used by Universal Music as it repackages greatest hits collections.

The sound quality is good, perhaps even remastered, but there is no production detail listed on the CD so I cannot be sure. Of course, J.J.'s music is always great, but if you have any of his best-known albums or any of his other greatest hits collections, this CD is merely redundant."
