"Being a professional musician since 1964, I've always considered "It's a Beautiful Day" a band's band; only other musicians would truly see the divine genius of their songwriting and sound. These two cd's capture the whole cosmic feel of the '60s.The descending waterfall of piano & violin on "Let a Woman Flow" with the Spanish guitar are right up there with "White Bird" as two of my all time favorite songs. I truly can't say enough in praise about this double cd. It is well worth every penny, especially for "The Essence of Now"'s words & electric guitar-I play this one on repeat. If you LOVE great music, please purchase this hidden, overlooked treasure-you can't go wrong.I experienced Cosmic Consciousness tripping to this band in the '60s.That about sums it up.They are out of this world of illusion and inspired by the Spirit. Enjoy-it IS a beautiful day!"
Super music, but sound quality in recording lacking

"I already had copies of both CDs from when they originally became available and was ordering this combined album to hopefully improve sound quality. They were supposedly digitally remastered. But, when I got the CDs, the base was exaggerated and the violin wasn't nearly as prominent as it is supposed to be. The price for two CDs was very good and they were also offered in MP3 format, so I had a suspicion when I ordered that someone downloaded the music as MP3 and then burned the CDs from that much lower quality recording. When I got them, I still suspected this was true. I also had a similar experience with another "digitally remastered CD available in both formats from Amazon. Avoid the very cheap $8.99 CDs unless you are prepared to deal with MP3 level quality or are confident they still use the original CD cover, etc. I did get another great recording very cheap with the original cover, and it sounded great.

THIS is the one to buy

"two for one-and the guy who has the tapes in america has made millions and hasnt given the band a PENNY
Its been remastered-although quite a while ago After 3 lawsuits, and changing the cover art each time, SONY gave up and made this cover.
Actually I like it in its simplicity (apparently, if im getting good info, the rights have reverted back to the LaFlames-and all should be rereleased shortly)"
