"It is a pleasure to listen to so-called "salsa" (it had been called afro-Cuban music in its various forms since the beginning of times) with lyrics that make sense, and more than that, are poetry. The musicians and arrangements are superb. Just at the end, a very pleasant surprise - a "cameo appearance" by Silvio Rodriguez with Issac in "Vamos a andar": their two-part harmony is unbelievable. For connoisseurs, this track and "Identidad", feature some heavy-duty afro-Cuban percussion, the real thing. A must-have album."
The PERFECT blend of powerhouse Timba with poetry

"I've been a fan of Issac Delgado for quite a while for his inventive and musically interesting blend of timba. I'm a huge fan of the whole Timba movement (go to www.timba.com to learn more), but, even I, a professional drummer/percussionist and lover of funky, drum-oriented Cuban grooves, get's tired of the blaring sounds of Azucar Negra and Charanga Habanera (both amazing bands in their own right). This CD had a nice blend of blowing you away with the Timba, while keeping your ears and brain pleasantly caressed with warm and interesting progressions. And, I haven't even spoke of the lyrical work, which is pure Nueva Trova poetry, taking from the best of Cuba's most prolific social/love/political musical poets. This album is a GEM! Thanks Issac! Pick it up today!"

"In my opinion this album is a return to form. Meaning this is the style of son (afro) cubano for which Issac Delgado has become so famous. I struggled with his previous release "La Formula" so I was a bit hesitant to buy this one but I let the past speak for itself and decided to buy it. Surely enough Issac is back in form. I love every inch of this cd. The percussion, acoustics, and musical arrangements are exemplary and if you are a son cubano aficionado you will recognize the caliber of music that has been put together by Issac. All the songs are wonderful but I was especially taken aback by- #1 Corazon Corazon, #5 Orden del dia and #8 Identidad. It is great to evidence such quality music of this genre son since salsa today has dominated the market and really it all began with "son". As well in terms of Issac he is an example of very few artists who make it to the top and remain there. This is a highly recommended cd."
