"I am always delighted when instrumental musicians turn their art on its ear. Invert, the New York quartet composed of two cellos, a violin, and a viola, plays hardly what would be considered staid classical. Instead, the six songs on their eponymous album range from whimsical to frantic, maintaining freshness throughout. As a lover of cellos and originality, I recommend this selection for fans of composition, stringed instruments, and mood-enhancing music. The absence of other ingredients only underscores the strength of their art. I can only imagine what magnificent damage this group would wreak on a film soundtrack!"
