CD ReviewsIs it true?? Neil Lexington | Utica, New York | 12/10/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "I have always wondered what happened to them... my little bro. told me that he heard that Kenny had AIDS and that he died...this is a tragedy to have lost a magnificent song writer and vocal arranger. I've been looking for their website but I haven't been able to find them... yet. Review: These guys are the true pioneers of male R&B vocal groups. The melodic harmonies and the vocal arrangements alone set them above and beyond all of these new age groups. They were the first and the last. I have a question... what group out there whose music you can still play at a party after close to 10 years after their initial release? And I mean modern day R&B. I am a music major and they were one of the reasons I chose to sing. We will miss you Kenny. It's time to get a New Life..." A Forever Classic D. Harvin | Orlando, FL USA | 05/21/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is what we are missing in today's R&B (what the early 90's were filled with) "GROOVE". Music just felt great and was honest. When you heard "Love Thang" or "Let Me Be The One", in 93, you instantly got your party on (whoppin' harder than a mutha :-) I purchased the cassette back then and a few years later after wearing that tape out I went out and got the CD. Even today when I want to cruise in the car to some throwbacks, my first grab is this disc. To top it off to those listening to what me and my friends are listening to in the car . . . we ride up pumping Intro real hard out of respect to such a great group, songwriter (Kenny) great memories, and pure enjoyment. Songs like "Anything For You" or "Don't Leave Me" had that classic smooth favor (formula) that always worked. For the musicians out there that know what I'm talking about, it was in that moving bass-line progression 1-5-9. The songs on this CD had a way back then to communicate with our inner feelings, and brought them out. We can all remember when we hear these songs today that person we were in love with, "the high school crush", Prom, who we broke up with, etc. "It's All About You" had that strong new jack element and made you wanna dance, while "Come Inside" had you working on your swagger to impress the ladies. The "Come Inside" dialog section had every young man eager! It was definitely on my slow jam tape. Lastly "Ribbon In The Sky" was an incredible rendition, very romantic. If you somehow have forgotten the Intro legacy, please go buy it or dust off the CD you have just sitting around and give it some spins. Grab your lover and enjoy each other and the music." A straight love thang!!! J. H Meeks | St. Louis, MO | 07/18/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "This CD is a classic, I shall never forget when I heard there first single "Love Thang" in the mix on the radio back in the early spring of '93. I first thought to myself that was going to be a cool group that would be in for a few and fade out but when "Let Me Be The One" came out when I got the chicken pox, I knew this group was going to be around. In the fall of '93, the group released one of the top 10 slow songs of all-time "Come Inside" and it turned some of us inside out while in high school. Me and my friend would come from school and listen to the cassette tape that I had and talk on the phone with the ladies. The other song that is also an instant classic on top of a classic was the re-make of Steve Wonder's "Ribbon In The Sky". The remake of this is in my top three of all-time of remake's. Some of the other songs that I love is "Don't Leave Me", "One Kind Of Love", & "So Many Reasons". I will go on record and say that this CD can hold it's own with Jodeci's "Diary Of A Mad Band" & Boyz II Men's "II". Don't sleep on this CD. Intro is one of the best male groups of my generation. P.S. To help the reviewer looking for the hit "Never Again" Check that song out on DJ Eddie F's "Let's Get It On" compilation(see my reviews). RIP Kenny "G-Love" Greene."
