"Having been a fan of Interpol since 2002 this album is a major departure aesthetically speaking from their first two.

Most people will either love this or hate this. I loved it on first listen and still love it after consecutive plays. Everything about it is sonically gorgeous. From the sweeping "Pioneer To The Falls" to the bittersweetness of "The Lighthouse", the album is epic.

It may not be a huge step away from their sound but then this is only the 3rd album. Give them time because the potential is there. They've showed us that with this one.
