Synopsis
Album Description "There are few things more satisfying than watching a good band become great," says Kerrang about Finland's Insomnium. With this their fourth album, the quartet delivers an even more expansive recording than their earlier efforts in what many already expect to be their most successful to date. The band reveals, "this is our by far our most abundant and versatile album. Our trademark sound is stronger than ever and we are very pleased with every single riff and passage on the album." Featuring guest vocals by Jules Naveri (Misery Inc/Amoral), the album showcases folk metal, a pinch of doom, some thrashing, a whole lot of timeless melodies and progressive twists. Ingredients of a true masterpiece! Similar CDs

CD ReviewsThe best band in metal! Joshua J. Fonzi | FL, USA | 09/22/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "Insomnium was my little secret for a number of years... Not many folks in the metal scene knew them, and whenever I entertained metalheads (who are a very finicky bunch at times), I would always pull them out like a secret weapon and play them for my guests who were always jaw-droppingly amazed that so much talent slipped by them unnoticed. No more. These guys deserve it all, and I couldn't be more pleased to see they're still killing it. Get this and strike a death blow to metal mediocrity!" It grows on you.... Some Dude | 02/25/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "Not to be outdone on my last mediocre review of an Insomnium album, I'm writing a review for this one too! For some reason, Insomnium albums always start out so-so for me, and the more I listen to them, the more I love them. The clean vocals on this one were a bit of surprise, but they totally work. Insomnium delivers on this, and they write really catchy, listenable stuff. I'm surprised these guys are not more popular than they are!"
