"I first heard this group in a restaurant in New York and was so taken with their sound that I bought the CD on the spot. Ingrid Lucia has a sultry, expressive voice that takes you straight to the small, smoky clubs in New Orleans where you go to lose yourself in the music. What is amazing is that she sounds so much like Billie Holiday and yet has a sound all her own. The entire group meshes to produce a wonderful album that embraces you like an old friend."
The sound of Billie Holiday in N'Oleans, Fantastic!!!!!

"I bought this CD in New Orleans after hearing them in a little bar on Burbon Street in 1995. I was surprized to find that it was not for sale in music stores. This is my favorite jazz CD. Ingrid's voice is sexy, smooth, and very Billie Holiday, it is hard to believe that she is white. Todd sings lead on the song 'Mari Laveau.' A funny song that I have heard a hundred times and it still makes me laugh. This is a GREAT ALBUM with many different sounds, a must have!!!!!"
Great jazz vocals, a must have!

"Best jazz cd ever! This is a must have. If anyone knows of other artists who have this sound, please let me know. I have loved this group since I first heard them in New Orleans in '95. Ingrid has a Billy Holiday voice that is absolutely stunning."
A nice set

"I knew this was going to be a good album while sitting in the recording studio watching the action. Ingrid Lucia Pearlman is a truly entertaining young lady. She has mastered many of the nuances of jazz singing. Of course, I'm a bit biased since I wrote the title song of this collection."
Incredible!

"This is the most I've ever paid for a cd, and second hand at that. But I gotta tell ya - it was worth every cent. I thought it would be difficult to beat The Hotel Child but Ingrid and the band do so with ease on this album. It is the coolest music I've heard in many a year, and every person I play it to, goes direct to a website to buy. The Flying Neutrinos, when playing extended and without Ingrid's vocals (no offense Ing!) are exceptional. This album has it all - Ingrid forcefully at the front, and sometimes melting into the background as others take center stage. I really get the impression that these people have a lot of fun playing together, and know each other inside out. Can't recommend this cd enough. Buy now and you're in for such a treat!"
