"Years ago, I had the pleasure of listening to Urubamba, a Long Play Record, i thought that Los Incas group adopted that name (at least, here in peru the group was known by that name). But the truth is that one Song, "Urubamba", which is played in this concert, is a "must-hear" tune. The rythm, the instruments, the sound... Jorge, you rescued the old and rich song. I have heard many groups playing the melody, but i have to say that Milchberg and friends do it best. There is a nice repetition of Caballo de Madera. I must get the other CD (Ultimo) because Kacharpari, a melody from Peru, played live in that old record, was the music i had for a long time even in my dreams.
Urubamba (the old LP) was produced thanks to Paul Simon (jorge would say if this is not correct) who listened to Los Incas and had them play for him the music of "el condor Pasa" for his all well known and famous song and lyrics. El Condor Pasa is a very old and famous peruvian Song, now played around the world, it was written by Daniel Alomia Robles, it is the second National Hymn of Peru."
