"Let me get it out of the way here, yes, Impaled worship Carcass but don't let that stop you! This is a great grind/melodic death album that has it's similarities (as do most Impaled albums) to the gods of gore but Impaled play so frighteningly well that it would be criminal to write them off as clones.



Admittedly, I haven't listened to the these SF gore maniacs since "Dead Remain Dead" and I doubt that there has been much evolution but I really enjoyed the "Last Gasp" as it's full of catchy riffs, great musicianship and the dual grind vocals that I'm fond of. If the nasty cover are horrifies you or you don't like you lyrics clever and nasty, avoid this. But, if you love melodic grind and have SICK sense of humor, this is certainly for you."
