"Los que han dicho que este grupo no duraría se están tragando sus palabras. Este último CD de los Ilegales, "On Time" confirma que este grupo seguirá teniendo éxito gracias a sus pegajosos ritmos y madurez artística. "On Time" nos hace saber que estos muchachos no son solamente embajadores del "hip-hop" sino que tienen talento y saben aprovechar las tendencias del mercado.Afortunadamente, el grupo no olvida sus raices y este CD también trae los esperados y movidísimos ritmos que los han hecho famosos ("Una copa de licor" está destinada a ser su próximo éxito), pero también varias cositas nuevas. Con su inesperada pero ya exitosa balada "Tu recuerdo" (a la Son by Four), los Ilegales nos dejan saber que también saben ser románticos y sin duda ganarán miles de fans nuevos, aun con un integrante menos. Ilegales es un grupo que alegra cualquier fiesta y que ha pasado por la prueba de fuego. Si le gusta alguno de sus éxitos, le gustará este CD que está lleno de sorpresas y sabor."

"Was hired to fill in for a missing member of the Ilegales horn section at the All Star Gala in Seattle this week, and became an instant fan of the group. I was previously totally unaware of Ilegales, and (in general) the evolution of merengue and the blending of Dominican Republic rhythms with hip hop/soka/funk. The band leader gave me a work CD to learn the tunes (had about an hour to do it - tough stuff!), and I can't stop listening to it, especially track 5, "Una Nena", which is a classic, burnin' funk tune. Although heavily (but thoughtfully) produced and sequenced, the band manages to produce a powerful (and seemingly spontaneous) live groove, which also comes through on the CD. Catch 'em, if you can, and you'll see what I mean. You, too, will be sweatin' in no time!"
